The cut is generous, so the lack of stretch is not a problem. I am 5'6\" and the dress is below knee length. The fabric has a mid weight, so it hangs well on the body without clinging. It washed well, and did not shrink in a meaningful way. The one and only downside to this dress is that it does not have pockets. I would 100% buy this again if they had it. I am a fan of the style, construction and fabric of this dress. I would recommend buying your regular size. There is no need to size up or down.
